“I was born and raised in the Gainesville, Alachua County area. Growing up in the rural parts, there weren’t many homes that had central heating and air until the early ‘70s. Air conditioning was something we had to go to town to check out, because it was new to everyone. I had a desire to learn construction after high school, so I landed a job installing ductwork in homes that were being built at Haile Plantation in 1980. Over time, my interest grew to learn how the equipment operated and how the a/c systems were designed and installed.
